CCM© Launches Revolutionary Skate Lacing Technology
CCM© Vector™ BOA Skate: Lace Skates in Seconds!
Montreal, Quebec, January 16, 2004...CCM©, the exclusive supplier of authentic jerseys to the National Hockey League, introduces a new and revolutionized hockey skate concept, the Vector™ BOA skate. This new technology in hockey skates is ideal for the young skater who is looking for a simple solution to tying skates.
The CCM© Vector™ BOA skate features a dial BOA Lacing System, making it easy for young players to lace and unlace their skates.
To lace skates, players push dial in and turn to custom tighten skates for a quick, uniform and comfortable fit.
To unlace skates, players just have to pull on the dial to unlock.
The Dynamic Closure system is a replaceable miniature high tensile stainless steel cable that runs through the lace guides with little friction for a perfectly distributed "micro adjusting" fit.
"This new skate is especially convenient for parents who can relate to the challenges of lacing their child's traditional skates", said Andrew Stewart, Product Manager for skates at CCM©. "The BOA Lacing System allows a typical child to tie his/her own skates within seconds."
In addition to the dial BOA Lacing System, the Vector™ BOA skate features the same characteristics as other high-performing CCM© Vector™ skates. Available in junior and youth sizes, the skate will be in stores April 2004. Look for other CCM© models featuring the easy Dynamic Closure system, such as the CCM© Recreational Swift™ model and the CCM© Salé & Pelletier SP400 model, both available in stores in Fall 2004.
