CCM Hockey recalls Hybrid Visor and replacement visor – risk of facial and eye injuries

Stop using the product immediately. Please read the information below carefully before registering your product.

CCM is recalling the Hybrid Visor (model FMHVR) and the replacement visor (model ACCHVR). The products were sold in stores and online between May 2024 and April 2026.

How to tell if your product is affected

FMHVR: Look at the metal plate that attaches the visor to the cage on the right side (as seen by the wearer). If “HVR” appears at the top of the plate, above the red “CCM” lettering, the product is included in the recall.

ACCHVR: The serial number is engraved in the upper right corner of the visor (as seen by the wearer). If the serial number begins with “SR”, the product is included in the recall.

Why is the product dangerous?

Small cracks may form around the screw holes in the visor, behind the mounting plates. If the visor takes a hard impact in that area, for example from a puck, it may crack. This poses a risk of serious facial and eye injuries.

What you should do

Stop using the product immediately. Return it to your nearest participating retailer. You can find your nearest retailer below or by contacting our customer service. If you purchased the product directly from CCM, please contact customer service.

What we offer

You may choose between:

  • Store credit toward a replacement visor, or
  • A full refund of the amount you paid.
